I'm sure we've all heard about what a meanie that cop was to the well-spoken, well-educated Gates by now. (If not, try googling "Gates", "Cambridge", but don't confuse him with Robert Gates).
Okay, so both parties were wrong... blah blah... whatever. The issue SHOULD have been over with now. No one really knows what happened beside Gates and the cops. But I just know if I locked myself out and tried "breaking-in", I'd like to know my neighbors are looking out for me enough to call in suspicious behavior. I've had to slide a coathanger inside the window of my car after locking my keys in it. No one stopped me - how do they know I wasn't trying to steal it?
Anyways, what has made this issue catapult into the national news and has made it drag on longer than it should have was PrezBo sticking his nose into their business with his infamous remark that he didn't know much about it, but it was "stupid".
Ok... first, what are you doing commenting about this issue? It's a local issue - it's not your job. Second, if you don't know much about what's going on, how can you call it "stupid"? (Maybe the telepromptor told him to say it?) And third, you are President and you are going to insult the cops? Wow... regardless if he acted out of line or not, his buddies in uniform will not like that you called them "stupid". Don't insult the police force.
Now he's invited them both over for coffee or beer or something at the White House. Excuse me?? He's showing diplomatic qualities between a local scuffle but freezes up when it comes to diplomacy in (non-Arabic) International issues?? Am I the only one seeing something wrong with this picture??
Oh! And then he has the audacity to scold the people who said his comments were wrong:
"Race is still a troubling aspect of our society", he said was evident because the story became national issue.
Sorry, you will not scold me like a child. You seem to forget, but YOU work for ME. I have NEVER heard a president talk down and insult his fellow Americans just because they disagree with him, as I have heard this President do. He did it with the Tea parties too. He is such an arrogant person.
Grow up. Stop blaming others. Know that you work for us, not the other way around. And for heaven's sake, do the job you were elected to do!
